In an effort to give back to the community that has helped foster the success of the company, Summit Builders founded Summit Builders Charities in 2000. Summit Builders Charities is an entirely employee-run, volunteer group who donates time and energy to assist local, non-profit community organizations.

Golf Tournament - A Tournament of Hope
Summit Builders Charities recently held its 7th Annual "A Tournament of Hope", to benefit Children's Angel Foundation, McKenzie Monks Foundation, Tanzania Water Fund and Phoenix Children's Hospitals' Camp Rainbow. The 1st Tournament of Hope was held in 2002 and in 2008 raised over $100,000. This annual event has grown to participation of over 300 people including Summit Builders employees, clients, vendors and subcontractors. The scramble-style tournament utilizes two courses and is followed by an awards ceremony, dinner and post party that includes live entertainment, silent auction and a raffle. |

A Day at The Races - A Race for Hunger
Summit Builders Charities will hold its 5th Annual Day at the Races - A Race of Hunger on October 10, 2008 to raise money for children's hunger based organizations. Over $150,000 has been raised and donated to these four charities: Phoenix, Day, The Real Gift Foundation, Tumbleweed Center for Youth Development and Waste Not. Guests were treated to a fun-filled afternoon of horse racing, hosted cocktails, lunch buffet, private betting lesson, private mutual tellers and a silent auction. |

Chili/Salsa Cook-off
Summit Builders Charities holds this annual event to raise money to benefit non-profit children-focused organizations supported by the employee-run, volunteer group. The Cook-Offs are very festive events with music, dancing, raffle prizes, table decorating contest, and of course lots of delicious chili and salsa for tasting. In 2008, $4,500 of the proceeds were donated to Andrea's Closet, an organization providing toys to children undergoing hospital medical procedures. |

Back to School Drive
As the summer comes to an end, it's back to school time for SBC and hundreds of underprivileged children at the Academy of Arizona. The employees, clients, friends and the kids from the Academy of Arizona are all welcome for a fun-filled afternoon which includes indoor rock climbing. Through our drive we ensured 400 students would start their school year off right with backpacks stuffed with hygiene items and school supplies. |

Christmas Angel Tree
Every year, beginning in 2001, Summit Builders Charities has elaborately decorated a 6’ tree in the corporate lobby and hung 57 Christmas Angel tags benefiting the kids from the Academy of Arizona. Through active encouragement and promotion, all of the angels were adopted providing 57 children Christmas presents. The Academy of Arizona kids were given their presents during a holiday party filled with arts, crafts, caroling & lots of holiday treats. |

Red Cross Blood Drive
In coordination with the United Blood Services and the American Red Cross, Summit Builders Charities holds blood drives in the company headquarters’ Camelback Corridor parking lot. Employees and neighboring business people visit the Blood Mobile and gave blood in November 2001, December 2002 and January 2005. |

Salvation Army Clothing Drive
A year-round effort, Summit Builders Charities keeps Salvation Army donation boxes in the company break room for gently used clothing donations. |

Valentine Basket Fund Raiser
Every year in February, Summit Builders Charities raffles three large, gorgeous Valentine gift baskets containing special treats for employees and their sweethearts. |

Diamondback Charities
Summit Builders Charities' most publicized projects have been the creation of little league baseball field in association with Arizona Diamondback Charities and their "Diamond Back" Youth Field Program. We have completed 26 fields to date. |
